Combat InformationAssigned to 614 TFS in Torrejon. Squadron transferred to Qatar. On day three of conflict assigned mission in downtown Baghdad.
Capture MissionIntermittent clouds partially obscured the city and ROE dictated they call off the mission. Just as they received abort order, warning systems alerted them to incoming SAMs. Roberts defeated first missile, but second missile made contact.
MIA Information and DatesShot down on 19 Jan 91 and placed in Duty Status Whereabouts Unknown until 23 Jan 91 when status was changed to captured. Returned to US control on 6 Mar 91.
